Where do you provide services?
We provide in-home services to clients in Lee’s Summit, Independence, Blue Springs, Kansas City, MO, Leawood, KS, and Prairie Village, KS.
What insurance companies are you in-network with? Will you be adding insurance groups in the future?
We accept Medicare. For all other insurances, we are considered an out-of-network provider. We provide clients with a superbill as a statement of services that can be submitted for reimbursement. We recommend you contact your insurance provider prior to beginning services to check your personal benefits.
If my child receives services through their school or Missouri First Steps, should we still do private speech, feeding, or swallowing therapy?
Many children will benefit from the additional one-on-one private therapy services. At Speech & Swallowing Speciliatists of KC, we provide services in-home and dedicate time to parent coaching to help children make the most gains as efficiently as possible.
Do you require an evaluation to begin services?
If you, your child, or your loved one has had a recent evaluation in all areas of concern, we may be able to use the findings from that evaluation to guide our treatment planning. This is determined on a case-by-case basis.
